Intimate discussions around civic pride + a letter writing party to our representatives!

Wednesday, March 8th
6:00-8:00PM
 @ T-REX, 911 Washington Ave
REGISTRATION REQUIRED | Free for all but limited spots

Let's call things how they are: sometimes it's hard to say that we're proud to call St. Louis home. But regardless of whether you're a native or a transplant and despite the political, business, civic, and/or social environments and climates, we would argue that there's plenty to take pride in.

Come hear why Jonathan and Vin choose to live, work, and invest in St. Louis and learn a fun fact or two you might not have known about St. Louis and why you should be proud to be here, too. We will provide templates and information for writing to our state representatives to address how we can make St. Louis better.

Speakers:
Jonathan Allen, President of L&T Co.
Vin Ko, Senior Program Manager at St. Louis Mosaic Project

Jonathan, President of L&T Co., is a search and social marketing specialist and the former Director of Search Engine Watch. Originally from the UK, Jonathan moved to St. Louis from New York after winning an Arch Grant from Arch Grants.

Vin, a native of St. Louis, traveled to sunny California for college before returning to his hometown. He currently serves as the Senior Program Manager at the St. Louis Mosaic Project and helps organize and run St. Louis Pickup Soccer.

Young People Laying The Foundation For A Stronger Future

Wednesday, November 30th
6:00-8:00PM
 @ T-REX, 911 Washington Ave
REGISTRATION REQUIRED | Limited spots

This presidential election has shown just how deeply our country is divided. There's work to be done, and we can all play a part starting with the city we study, work, and live in. St. Louis was chosen for The Rockefeller Foundation's 100 Resilient Cities initiative, which helps cities around the world become more resilient to the physical, social, and economic challenges that are a growing part of the 21st century.

Patrick Brown is St. Louis's Chief Resilience Officer overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive Resilience Strategy for the City. Come learn about the initiative and speak up on what you think the city's biggest challenges are. The discussion will lead into intimate group discussions for you to meet other young people from all backgrounds to help shape St. Louis's strategy for identifying and tackling the issues facing our region.

BEEF AND A TOAST WITH JAKE HOLLANDER FROM ST. LOUIS STRONG

UNIFYING THE CITY & COUNTY

Thursday, July 7th
5:00-7:00PM
@ Venture Café
RSVP REQUIRED | Limited to 20 spots

Jake is the Founder of St. Louis Strong, an organization advocating for collaboration, unification and local pride. In 1876, St. Louis City and St. Louis County decided to separate. Since this controversial decision, efforts for reunification have failed for decades. St. Louis Strong does not endorse one specific unification structure at this time; however, data shows that nearly anything is better than the current structure. Currently they are taking community input and using data to sketch different possible forms of unification. Their goal is to build a plan for the people and by the people. We're excited for the thoughts and insights that you'll bring to the table.

Let's discuss our beef with St. Louis and toast to being part of the solution.
No meat involved, but there will be a toast!

For an intimate discussion, only 20 spots are available. There will be a wait-list.
